Shaohannah's Hope

Founded by Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, Shaohannah's Hope is dedicated to caring for orphans by engaging the church and helping Christian families reduce financial barriers associated with adoption. By awarding financial adoption grants to qualified families, Shoahannah's Hope brings children living without the love and hope of an earthly family to be adopted into "covenant homes." These families provide a child with the knowledge of God's plan for his and her eternal life with a forever family called The Body of Christ.

It is obvious how much He loves the fatherless and the widow. God calls on us to be His agents of action in bringing these promises to fruition in the lives of orphans and widows. That is clearly the call of James 1:27 - "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…" So The James Fund calls on God's people, to join us in taking action - to give, to go, to pray, to organize mission trips, to adopt, to take up foster care work, to start orphan care ministries in their churches, to act on behalf of the orphans and widows in their communities.
